
Convention Steering Committee (CSC)
The Convention Steering Committee would like to warmly invite you to join us for the BMM 2011 Convention in Chicago. Our goal is to make sure that all attendees have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience during their stay. We are also the link between the convention conveners and the functional committees and are responsible for coordinating and supporting the efforts of the committees. Together, we hope to provide an unforgettable event for all those attending the BMM 2011 Convention. Please feel free to contact anyone on the Steering Committee if you have suggestions or would like to become more involved in planning or sponsoring the convention. We will put you in touch with the appropriate team member.The Steering Committee includes four members of the Convention Executive Committee (CEC) and the following volunteers:
Milind Joglekar: Milind served as the MMC president in 1999 and as a trustee of MMC for several years. Milind has helped manage the MMC reserve fund since 2000. Milind is the founder and president of Stearn-Joglekar, Ltd. a 20-year-old structural engineering firm in downtown Chicago. He is an avid golfer and a proud Puneri.
Saily Joshi: Saily is proud to have attended BMM conventions since she was a child growing up in the US. Her proudest BMM moment was when her grandfather, Shri Nanasaheb Goray, was invited as the chief guest for the Toronto BMM Convention. She is an attorney and has extensive experience in working with non-profits both in the US and India.
Mohini Joshi: Mohini has been an active member of MMC since 1970. Mohini was the first woman president of MMC in 1979. She has also worked as a Trustee, a Vice-president and a Secretary of MMC. She has organized and produced children’s programs consisting of music, dance, “Lezeem” for MMC for many years. She has a Masters in Computer Science and pursues active interest in music.
Ashok Lele: A long time resident of Chicago area, Ashok has been associated with Maharashtra Mandal, Chicago as treasurer and president. A national marketing manager for a major environmental company, Ashok brings his managerial experience and dedicated service to the convention steering committee. He has been involved in various cultural activities and has performed in many Marathi plays.
Satish Joshi: Satish has been a resident of Chicago area since 1978. After graduating from I.I.T. Mumbai, he came to North America and obtained PhD in Engineering and M.B.A. in Finance. He has been past President of Maharashtra Mandal of Chicago. He retired from Pfizer as VP Manufacturing having managed 18 facilities in 16 countries. Currently, he does part time pro bono consulting with Executive Service Corp. of Chicago in the areas of Strategic Planning, Operations Management and Board Governance for non profit social organizations.
